1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
+ Whenever I'm asked this question I usually respond with, "I ain't a hater." Getting to use the higher quality and/or natural fibers is a luxury I can't always afford.
2. Do you spin? Crochet?
+ I occasionally crochet, and would love to learn to spin some day.
3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)
+ Nope.
4. How long have you been knitting?
+ Almost 4 months now.
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
+ Not yet, but I'll make one (or two) and link them somewhere that they're easy to find.
6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
+ I have this lotus blossom oil that I adore and wish they made lotion out of it. I love Bath & Body Works Cotton Blossom though. As for candles I love McCall's candles, Country Store is my favorite scent... it's along the lines of Harvest from Yankee Candle. I have a tart burner and prefer tarts to actual candles (maily because they're less expensive). Oh and I also like the honeydew scents.
7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
+ Boy howdy do I. If the last two foods on Earth were Nilla Wafers and caramel I'd be one happy camper.
8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
+ I love scrapbooking (you can never have too much pink when you have a little girl) and quilling. I also love to cook and have a morbid addiction to collecting cookbooks (which does not amuse my husband). I also dabble in photography, not seriously like Franklin, but more for scrapbooking purposes. Then, finally, I also like to spend my time fidgeting around my house doing decorating and home improvements (I can change out a toilet!).
9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
+ I have an iPod so MP3's are always good. I love all kinds of music and have everything from classical to christian to pop to 80's glam.
10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?
+ I decorate my home in autumnal colors (rich reds, golds, greens, etc). I don't have a favorite color really, all colors have a place, but I'm not particularly fond of the neon family.
11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
+ I have one Itty (born 8/4/04) and two doggies (Garth and Mollie)
12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)
+ You know, I really feel as though I've achieved my life dreams with my Itty. If we all have a purpose in life, I believe that mine is to be a Momma. She is the most important thing in my world.
13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
+ I've had very limited exposure to yarns. I do love Koigu, but I'd love to try some silk blends some day. I saw some amazing yarns at MDS&W that really opened my eyes to what's really out there.
14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
+ Anything itchy (I have eczema and very sensitive skin)
15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
+ Lace lately... and making stitch markers! They're both addictive.
16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
+ Anything!
17. What are you knitting right now?
+Working right now only on a lace stole. Getting ready to start Grace (from DB Cotton Angora) and Cozy (from Knitty)
18. What do you think about ponchos?
+ Not for me thank you... but I'm thinking of making one for Itty
19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
+ Circs
20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
+ I don't like plastic needles please.
21. Are you a sock knitter?
+ I haven't tried yet, but I'd love to learn!
22. How did you learn to knit?
+ The Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting and Crocheting 2nd Ed. with some tutelage from a co-worker.
23. How old is your oldest UFO?
+ That would have to be the scarf I started for my mother back in Feburary out of Caron's Feathers that I absolutely hate.
24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
+ Calvin & Hobbes
25. What is your favorite holiday?
+ Birthday Week... Halloween is a close second.
26. Is there anything that you collect?
+ Fiestaware (dishes) and cookbooks
27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
+ Zero, None, Nadda, Zip, Zilch...
28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on?
+ Oh I'm sure there are, but none come to mind at the moment
